Team spirit
We can only successfully accomplish our wide variety of tasks if we work as a team. There are also lively exchanges between our two locations in Hamburg and Berlin. Hamburg is where our sales department is located, as well as the base for our overall operations, technicians and graphic designers. We are also increasingly recruiting ops and developers for the Hamburg site. In Berlin, the focus is on developers, project managers and ops, who work on a wide range of software projects.
Atmosphere
As is so often the case, the kitchen is the central hub. This is where discussions take place and plans are made in an informal atmosphere. Coffee and soft drinks are freely available. There is a fridge-freezer with frozen food available. Meals are subsidised by the company. In Berlin in particular, the Nerf guns come out by Friday afternoon at the latest. But sometimes, people need to let off steam even sooner than that.
Internationality
We've given up trying to count the number of different nationalities we have working for us. At the Christmas party, two employees from Hamburg and Berlin were enthusiastically chatting away in Farsi with each other. Otherwise, English is used a lot to communicate with one another. Nobody is excluded. Everyone looks out for one another. The company provides free German lessons in the company offices for those who want them.
Location Hamburg / Ahrensburg
Ahrensburg is practically part of Hamburg. The city boundary is just a couple of miles away. Famous for its castle, the town is also known as “Hamburg’s pretty daughter”. Here, there is everything you need: shops, nurseries, schools. The town also has excellent transport links for people who want to get to Hamburg quickly, with the S-Bahn suburban railway and two underground stations. Motorway access and the airport are close by.
Location Berlin / Mitte
Our Storecast site is situated right in the vibrant heart of Berlin. Our office is just outside the “Spittelmarkt” underground station. The rear courtyard provides a peaceful place to work, whilst city life pulsates right on the doorstep. With bistros, restaurants and street cafés on every corner and Kreuzberg within walking distance for after work. The River Spree is just opposite the entrance and there is a park around the corner.
You can’t get more Berlin than this.
